Building Community Resilience
Greenscape Energy partnered with the FH Faunteroy Center & Resilience Incubator, the DOEE and Pepco to deliver the solar and battery backup system for Washington, D.C.’s, first community resiliency hub. Designed to maintain critical operations during power outages and emergencies, the system strengthens neighborhood-level resilience while advancing the District’s clean energy goals.
Greenscape Energy led the system’s design and installation process, pairing solar generation with battery storage to ensure reliable, continuous power. We also partnered with the FH Faunteroy Center to deliver a solar training program for local residents, combining hands-on instruction with real-world project experience. Trainees were directly involved in the solar and battery installation, creating a pathway from training to employment while supporting project delivery.
